Yes.

As a Tyrian character you can get a few heroes pretty quickly. A Necro (Tyria quest avail. once you get NF), Warrior, Monk and Dervish (as soon as you step outside) and a choice of an Elemtentalist or Ranger upon completion of a couple of easy quests.

If you're going to get both, just get those heroes right away and then go do Factions if you like to do things in order. That has the benefit of allowing you to level your heroes up quickly too.

And your point is? You do realize that there was a winter in 2005? The year starts and ends in the winter. Since he said he didn't play in the beta, I'm guessing it was the end of 2005.

By the "original" version, I also mean as in the version with the original Prophecies (not the golden border beta one, the retail Prophecies one) interface, the prophecies character screen, etcetera, things like that.

Yep, if you own both campaigns already.

The other thing to consider is whether or not you want to play as a Rit or Sin; if so, you might want Factions first....

Oh, and as far as the real world is concerned, if you are interested in East Asian culture, Factions is a more logical choice. Of course, if you are intrigued in north african/middle eastern cultures you might find Nightfall more enjoyable .
